Rebecca Cain
Lead Teacher
Rebecca brings a lifelong passion for education and a unique perspective to her role as Lead Teacher at Seed School. She holds a bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a minor in Early Childhood Education, and brings years of hands-on experience both inside and outside traditional classrooms. Before joining Seed School, Rebecca homeschooled her own children for seven years, drawing on her own background as a lifelong homeschooler—an experience that fostered her deep appreciation for individualized learning and a flexible, student-centered approach to teaching. Her time at Seed School last year further enriched her commitment to nurturing young minds. Outside the classroom, Rebecca enjoys hiking, camping, cooking, natural medicine, and writing poetry and stories. She brings creativity, curiosity, and joy to everything she does, and is deeply inspired by the opportunity to help shape the next generation of leaders—believing every child deserves to feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow.

Amber Wood
Teacher
Amber Wood, a lifelong Alaskan, grew up in Palmer where she developed a deep love for the outdoors through camping, hunting, fishing, and sports. A four-sport letter winner in high school, she went on to play collegiate soccer at Mesa College in Arizona before transferring to Southern Utah University to compete at the Division I level and earn her Bachelor’s degree in Education with a coaching emphasis. After graduation, Amber returned to Alaska to teach in the same schools she once attended, spending ten fulfilling years in the classroom. In 2014, a visit to Bear River City led her to meet her husband, Nathan Wood, and they now live in Honeyville with their two children, Bodie and Madison. The family shares a passion for the outdoors, spending their free time hunting, camping, and fly fishing the South Fork of the Snake River with their dog, Scout. Whether in the classroom or out in nature, Amber brings energy, joy, and a strong sense of purpose to everything she does.

She makes it a goal each year to know every student's name, and welcomes them each day with a smile. Outside of school, Liz is a “professional volunteer”. She loves to be involved with her own kids. From coaching a team to managing many, she is always on the sideline cheering everyone on.
