Seed School is a partnership between students, parents, and teachers. Each week your teacher will send home a binder with school announcements, student progress, and at home learning materials to complete before returning to school on Monday. Material sent home supplements their in class learning and helps them practice what they have learned. Thursday and Friday are meant to continue the student’s education at home. At home learning should take an appropriate amount of time for the student’s age and leave plenty of time for parents to supplement with any materials and topics important to them.
Parents of Seed School students are required to serve on one or more school committees or the parent board. Parents are always welcome to volunteer in the classroom and we welcome any equipment and supplies donations.
Seed School classes are 10-12 students to allow teachers to give each student the attention they need.
We choose age appropriate curriculum to support essential state education standards and the four pillars of Seed School.
Seed School does not offer standardized tests. We do assess students knowledge of information to assure their progress and identify learning gaps.
Because Seed School is a teacher-led education model, we take the selection of our teachers seriously. All teachers are experienced, background checked, and have a teaching style that is the right fit for our paradigm.
